- Chronicle. Due for release February 3rd. Directed by Josh Trank, starring Michael B. Jordan, Michael Kelly, Alex Russell, Dane DeHaan, Ashley Hinshaw, Alex Russell, Anna Wood & Joe Vaz. Plot Summary: 3 high school friends make an amazing discovery and consequently develop superpowers, but rapidly find the bonds of friendship tested and their lives spinning out of control as their darker sides emerge. I like the look of this for being a sci-fi high school movie without the obvious cast of gorgeous girls and beefy jocks, with what looks like a refreshing lack of toilet humour and instead focusing on the underdogs with a sinister undercurrent.
